A look back at the 2023 European finals

The Double Tap Family got to live (and share) the best moments of club football at the end of the last season, the UEFA Europa League and both UEFA Men's and Women's Champions League finals. Let's take a look at how it went.


Cheers to All fans for the last time of the season!


Heineken's campaign, Cheers To All Fans just had its final celebration in the UEFA Champions League final. We had 16 amazing creators present at the UCL final, and seven of them partied hard with Heineken all weekend long. In the lineup, Fabrizio Romano, Aviv Levy, Mercedes Roa, Rodrigo Faez, Sarah Salahpour, and Isabela Pagliari. The talents created content with challenges and fun games prior to the final. They had the time of their lives with Heineken, partying on a boat with the legendary Roberto Carlos and Fernandinho, two Brazilian superstars, to being right there at the final.



Our creators rocked it, they shared all the insights of the experience and the incredible excitement all over social media. The numbers speak for themselves. We're talking about a whopping 36M+ views and over 2M likes all over Instagram! DT talents really stepped up in the UEFA Champions League with the Cheers To All Fans campaign.


Cheers To All Fans of Women's Football!


Important to also speak about the Women's Champions League final in Eindhoven in early June. This match meant the culmination of the women's season. Our creators Mercedes Roa, Isabela Pagliari, Ana Quiles, Andrea Trega, Marcelo Bechler, Futcrunch, and Javifreestyle were in the Netherlands to witness this REMONTADA of FC Barcelona. The numbers speak for themselves as well, with 8M+ views alongside nearly a million likes all over the platform. Not only men's football is able to create viral content on social media, the DT family always at the heart of the world of men's and women's football.

Heineken x Double Tap had more than 44M views / 3M likes in the UEFA Men's & Women's Champions League final combined. The numbers are crazy and still growing even a month after!

 

Special delivery with Just Eat Takeways.com


This collaboration with Double Tap led 3 of our creators to live the special delivery during the UCL final, 8 creators during the UEL final, and another for the UWCL.


In the UCL lineup, OussiFooty, J_Tekkz, and David MC enjoyed the experience with Just Eat Takeways.com from getting their starter pack upon their arrival at the hotel to enjoying a boat dinner and finally getting top-tier seats in the stadium.


This is not all, Oussi and Jelani got to live their lifetime experience, the two creators already did the central flag carrier previously this season in the UEFA Champions League, but this time they have done it during the final. This is what our creators were expecting, setting the standards really high to create the best of the best content possible at the final, they have done it all in with Just Eat Takeways.com. For this UCL final, our 3 talents generated over 8.5M views nearly 20M impressions, and more than 700k likes.



The UEFA Europa League final with 7 creators also got to create viral content all the way in Budapest, witnessing Sevilla FC champion after the penalty shootout in an electric end of the game. The full lineup who got to live this is Aviv Levy Shoshan, OussiFooty, Mercedes Roa, Ana Quiles, DavidMC, EmanSV2, and StuntPegg. Over their channels, the content from the hotel delivery with their kits, to food delivery in the stadium got to be seen more than 1.5M times combined and liked more than 100k times.


UEFA's appearance in the UEFA Europa League final


Our creators present for the UEL final alongside Just Eat Takeway.com, also teamed up with the UEFA to create content during the few days. Present at the fan festival prior to the game, the lineup of the DT family shared some challenges and insights of the fan zone. Able to appear on the social media of the Europa League the creators were everywhere in Budapest. Adding to the previous numbers of the UEL an extra half a million views on the content led the creators to reach over 2M for this final.

In the Double creators, Boumé Sama and StuntPegg got to experience the final of the UEFA Champions League with the PlayStation experience. Watching Manchester City FC first ever Champions League trophy from amazing seats, Boumé and Nieve had also an amazing experience prior to the game. Teamed up with Kaka, Boumé shared content featuring the Brazilian legend on his channels.



That's not all for our two creators, Nieve got to meet the legend Essien and got to play video games with the PlayStation 5 ahead of the game. Finally to end this beautiful trip and PlayStation experience both of the creators got to play a game on the pitch of the final alongside other creators and Alessandro Del Piero also joined the party for the pleasure of all the creators.

 

Three-stripe experience for 4 creators


The duo LeonStreetSkills and Akkamist lived the UEFA Champions League final full experience with adidas. In the meantime, Aviv Levy and OussiFooty also teamed up with the three-stripe at the same time. The 4 creators got to chat with Alessandro Del Piero to create the hype prior to the game. For Akkamist and Leon got to go to the adidas boat where they showcased their football skills on the pitch. On social media, it is more than half a million people who were also able to witness the adidas experience through our creator's social media channels.

The Recap of the finals comes to an end, the 3 finales were massive for all of our creators. The DT family also invited Sam FootX and Jimmy Conrad to the UEFA Champions League final and Appie Aurag and Aviv Levy to the Women's UEFA Champions League final. Overall 15 creators were at the UCL final, 11 at the WUCL final and 7 at the UEL final. For the WUCL, Maymi Asgari was invited by UEFA and Nieve was the only Just Eat Takeway.com creator present for this final.


The Double Tap family has been active on social media during those finals, creating top content and becoming viral. Other than that, the creators loved the experience with the DT family and this is something we are looking for. Next season we target higher to be even more present at the latest stage of the best European football in order to create THE CONTENT on social media.
