As the transfer window came to a close, Friday the 30th, Fabrizio Romano and his co-hosts went live for 7 hours for the Deadline Day show, to accompany the exciting countdown!
Number 1 Duo: Max x Fabrizio
A day before the Deadline Day, Double Tap partnered up with Heineken to bring Fabrizio to Monza, where he met and interviewed the 3-time F1 World Champion, Max Verstappen. The two talked about how it feels to sit in an F1 car, regarding Max’s footballing passion and how they deal with pressure and expectations.
Football news
The live show was filled with lively discussions, covering everything from the past season, summer tournaments, the biggest names of the window, questions about the transfer window closing times and even the classic pineapple-on-pizza controversy.
The hosts have contributed their football knowledge and opinions, making the stream interesting, entertaining and able to connect with the audience.
Here We Go
Fabrizio has opened the show how he meant to go on - With a Here We Go!
The first of the night was the news of Giovani Lo Celso returning to Real Betis, with the interesting part being what Tottenham could get in return - the priority option on the talented American Johnny Cardoso.
The biggest Here We Go of the evening came with the acquisition of Jadon Sancho by Chelsea. After spending six months on loan at his former team, Borussia Dortmund, Sancho returned to United earlier this summer. He will now be a part of Enzo Maresca's Blues squad at Stamford Bridge.
The drama did not end there though - throughout the night we followed the Victor Osimhen story, which Fabrizio and other experts in the world of football just couldn’t believe. “I’ve never seen anything like this”, said one of Fabrizio’s contacts.

On the set in Milano, one of our Double Tap talents joined the hosts, as well as multiple guests who joined through video calls!

Moments of fun
Despite the seriousness of the Deadline Day, our hosts also had fun on set. Participating in games, reacting to social media moments, interacting with the chat, and even Fabrizo’s mom texting in “I know you said “Hi” to me, live” - This show was one to remember.
